Yesterday evening was real busy here. I just wish we could send some of this water to fill the Hoover Dam!

We often have to watch out for 🌪️ tornadoes here, but thankfully, seldom see them. We had about 6 hours of random warnings last night, with no tornadoes touching down!

Here's what it looked like when we were still under warning:

Rain was just backing off, but the flash was still having trouble! The leaves are just visible through the water. This had to be lightened up a lot, to even be this visable.

Here was the original:

It was a really dark night, due to the weather; even with the street lights! This upgraded picture pushed my picture editing to the edge, because it was so dark originally. Thankfully, all we got was rain!

I added this because it has rainfall amounts posted. It was backing off as it came to us, projecting about 6 inches here.

The bad part was some of the places in the track of the storm, the really had a lot of rain! Some got a foot of rain in a few hours, and flooding was heavy. I sure wish we could send this to California! We had some major highways covered with 2 feet of 🌊💦 flood water.

Locally, we had street flooding, but no tornadoes! I have lived here for six decades, and have only seen one tornado! 🌪️I have cleaned up storm damage several times, but I like living here anyway.

When you buy land, be aware what can happen with rainfall like this! The homestead is only about a mile from Keystone lake, so flooding is not ever a problem, and our suburban house is on a hill. But some people will not be so lucky. There may be some new homeless people, we need to check to see if we can help them.

Sure would be good if we could divert some of this water into the Colorado river! It's just a hazard here, and they need it so badly.

Another night spent watching the radar, fortunately with no effect! But it's still raining here the next afternoon, so we may have more flooding!

😭💸🤕
