I'm making plans to at least double my rebuild time on the homestead. Gutting the building there, to upgrade it to a net zero house; is now underway. I will add r33 to the floors, and r12 to the walls; with all new construction.

Adding additional stringers will stiffen the structure. The plywood will be screwed down and glued, after adding the insulation and vapor barrier:

These two windows will be replaced with a single, silvered, double pane window:

When done, the entire house will run off of solar panels and wind power. Even though there is power a available, I intend to run fully off the power grid!

One must always improve themselves, any thing less would be boring....
