Hmmm, pickled eggs in the walls...what a good idea, ROFLOL!
What is this "A" gun garbage, I haven't had A gun for 50 years, LOL. But I do have several Geiger counters, one to ID a specific gemstone; and the other because I built it. What can I say, I've got a lab, and I like toys! Spider holes seem like a failure to me, they should never get that close. But I pray the gieger counter just stays a lab tool!
I love to train new shooters, and I begin with safety! I introduce them to all different types of firearms (usually takes multiple visits) including black powder. They are usually hooked by then....
9mm is a good training round, small enough on recoil, and big enough to be useful. It is my every day carry for that reason, and that it's easily concealed! I find they also like my 45 Thompson knock off, because it has little recoil. I think they like the looks too, LOL!
I bought 2 fifty round boxes of 9mm in reloadable brass for $18.99 a box on Tuesday. Never hurts to add to ammunition stocks! I have reloaded each calibre to develop loads, but I decided to continue to purchase rounds as long as they are available. Of course, I always police up my brass! In fact, I have filled a number of buckets with abandoned brass on the gun range.
My preferred cold weapon is a katana, of which I have five. I am still sharpening them. Thankfully, they are only highly sharp on the end, but the full length must be pretty sharp too. I am improving with it's use, but it is a useful tool already.
I just posted on providing power when the grid goes down.
