We have some of the same things here. Some people avoid funerals, because they think deaths come in 'threes'.

I also noticed they leave the casket open for viewing, which is common here. I prefer to remember the person as they were, before they left; and not what they left, when they left!

You should have added photography to your tags on this, lots of good pictures.
