Every country has its own healthcare infrastructure but sadly to say one common thing about them is that they are not easily affordable. There are many charitable institutions that work towards the betterment of society but the actual fact is that less than 2% of the common man is able to avail himself of such opportunities. Issues like complexity and rising costs of the present ecosystem must be addressed with care so that people can at least avail themselves of basic facilities in every part of the universe successfully.
Healthcare is one-sixth of our economy. If the government can control that, they can control just about everything. We need to understand what is going on because there are much more economic models that can be used to give us good healthcare than what we have now.

My grandfather is a heart patient and once I went with him to the hospital for a check-up. There were two reception counters one for rich people like us who could easily visit the doctor of choice and afford their services and one for the lower class of people who were looking for discounted services. Only five patients were allowed inside every day and that too who had been able to gain prior appointments with help of someone influential. As we were waiting for our turn I saw a young man literally begging at the reception counter for a chance to visit the doctor as his grandfather was seriously ill. As the five slots had already been filled he was not allowed to visit the doctor. Rules are a necessary part of any organization but to heartlessly deny a serious patient the services of a doctor was too much for me. I went to the counter to help the man but was sent back with words like that it is a daily occurrence and if we give in today tomorrow hundreds would come.
Is this what our society has become? It seemed so heartless that a person was unable to get healthcare even when he was so serious. This incident had a very profounding effect on my conscience and made me aware that nothing was free and easy in this world. At first, I thought that it was only our system that was unable to cope but after a thorough research, I came to know that most countries are facing such problems. The current healthcare sector is a centralized portal that is in dire need of a complete revamp. We need decentralized systems that will help each and every individual irrespective of his/her monetary status. As a legend has rightly said-
