This was my first attempt trying to use image averaging. I am happy with the results but it took a lot of time on site shooting photos and took even longer to process it. I took about five photos of each section but only used three of the five. The lights on the bridge were changing and washing out the colors. Each exposure was 30 seconds at f13. I was using a Canon 7d with Sigma 17-50mm lense set at 50mm and I took about 280 photos so that I could combine them later. After loading each set of three into Photoshop as layers I converted them into smart objects and used mean stacking mode. Once I averaged each set I loaded them back into Photoshop and used the photo merge tool to create the panorama. I did have fun trying this out but ended up being more work than I thought it would it would be.
