If you mean by 'dead' that the people YOU used to have interaction with, aren't here anymore, than for you it must be dead indeed.
Have just read the last sentence of the comment of @nonameslefttouse on the (already mentioned above) post, who says: 'I know you don't like me too much but that doesn't mean I stopped enjoying that stuff you used to write'.

Snap out of it man. Maybe the first 5 or 6 next posts you write won't get the attention you would like to have, but I'm sure that'll grow as you post more often and (at least) reply to all or most of the comments.
