BOY?

It's already a week ago I did a post about a short vacation I had in France.
The first half of it I spent in the South. The second part was in the Burgundy,
where I have been living for 12.5 years.

Again, some pics to give you an impression.

My house there

A small lake nearby, where I walked my dog a lot

My best friend Damiën and his daughter Ellie

Partytime

And a lot to talk about

Strange headtitle, looking at those pics above, don't you think?
Yes indeed, but it doesn't end here.

Because when I left, going back to The Netherlands, not even being
an hour on the highway, I saw this.

Half an hour later I was pulled over by the Gendarmerie (French police).
I was taken out my car and be told to put my hands on the hood of my car.

The police Officer said:
'Sir, the reason I stopped your vehicle is you were going 67 miles over the posted speed limit. And it took me miles to catch up to you.'

With my most innocent face I looked at the Officer and said:
'I'm sorry Officer, but there's a real good reason why I was speeding'.

A bit annoyed the Officer looked at me and said:
'Sir, I've already heard them all, all those made up excuses and pull punches. So, give me just one real good reason and I will let you off with a warning.'

So, even more innocent looking I explained:
'A few years ago my wife ran off with a police Officer. And when I saw you in my rearview mirror, I totally panicked. I thought you were bringing her back.'

A big smile appeared on the officer's face, as he said:
'Have a nice day Sir ..., watch your speed and drive home safely!'
