I really enjoy my freedom living so close to nature . It gives me strenght and energy beyond my imagination . And yes it's a hard kind of life , no comfort or luxery to fall back on to . I became man on top of the chain of creatures that dwell this part of this planet . Now don,t think that i go round killing and devauring all kinds of living beasts or what . Nope i addapt to my enviorment and keep myself save the best i can .
I hear wild Greek jackhals howl at sunset and night , even close by my camp . I do not fear them , they fear me . As do a small cattle of cows that cross true the olive gard i am in . One stare , well maybe two , and of they go . Bin real bissy fixing stone walls and putting up barricades to keep them out . They now stand at the closed gates and moo in protest . No they will not eat or trample my crops .
For long hikes i take i use a olive branch made cane , helps to keep pressure from my bad left knee . But saved me from getting ripped apart by mean angry sheep hearding dogs . It scared me for sure , but i did not froze in fear . Waved my cane in threat at dem and cursed right back at them . Just like i shouted and growled right back at the growling beast that dared to disturb a midnight piss i had to take . Can't a man not do that in some peace i thought while i did .
Even while taking a rest inside my tent i had to come in to action . WTF something was crawling true my stuff . After some search true it all i found the little bugger . Well damn a lizard in my working coat . Not the iluminatie kind so my temper slowed down fast . Just a little lizard that chased bugs and now was kind of lost and scared holding his own in my old coat . So after some carefull chasing i cought the creature in a cut open water bottle . After a picture i released the tiny bug killer on a stone wall in the olive gard . So he could continue with his life task .
Let me finish with this picture i took after climbing the mountain behind my campsite . I just had to know what was on the other side . From 540 mtr up to that spot on about 700 mtr it took me 2.5 hours to get there . A steep climb true very hard to get true terrain . It was well worth the view .
