Edition: CHAOS LEGION Rarity: EPIC Element: LIFE Level: 5 Attack: RANGED Mana Cost: 8 POINTS Abilities: Blast, Forcefield
Battle Rules (GOLD LEAGUE, WILD FORMAT):
Divine Shield
Reverse Speed
56 Mana
Prismologist excels against Divine Shield with the "Blast" ability, "2 Speed" makes it desirable in Reverse Speed
Prismologist, being ranged with Forcefield, will take the last battle position to tank against Sneak, and maximize her opportunity to dish out damage.
The theme for this setup is endurance, while slowly chipping away the opponent.
Position #1: Tank - Uriel The Purifier
Flying for increased chance to evade physical attacks from monsters without the Flying ability
Recharge with 4 attacks, will deal 12 damage (3x) every other round and negates Forcefield
Heal with a decent 12 base health will restore up to 4 health every turn
6 Armor with Void Armor from the summoner, and Repair every turn to replenish armor from Adelade Brightwing, will make this a formidable tank that will last a long time against both physical and magical damage. As long as the armor is up, health will not be damaged.
Position #2: Coeurl Lurker
This is perhaps my favorite card from the Riftwatchers expansion
Taunt combined with Dodge and Phase make it a very difficult target to hit
The purpose for this card is to draw damages away from the main tank, while getting healed by Djinn Renova every turn
As a melee card without Reach skill, it will not deal any damage until it gets promoted to the first position, and it is okay in a defensive play
Position #3: Adelade Brightwing
This is the perfect companion card in this type of setup
Repair to keep the main tank up is the main purpose
Resurrect to give the main-tank or the off-tank more up time to out last the opponent
Flying and Immunity are not really consequential in this fight
Position #4: Djinn Renova
This is another amazing card from Reward chests, cheap yet very effective. One of my most used cards.
Triage will keep the back-lane and the off-tank very healthy!
Strengthen adds one health to everyone. Sometimes 1 health is life or death, as you will see in this battle replay
Position #5: Prismologist
Blast does damage to an additional monster, takes away their divine shield in the process
Forcefield reduces the damage to 1 if the attacking monster has 5 or more Attack (like the Sand Worm)
Position #6: Doctor Blight
This is one of the most overpowered card, especially in the Diamond/Champion league, in Gold league, this card is missing Weaken unfortunately
1 speed for Reverse Speed, the good doctor attacks first
Affliction makes the target unhealable
Poison does 2 damages per round once applied
With Camouflage, it sits hidden in the very back damaging and poisoning the opponent without getting targeted
While accumulating health from the Scavenger ability, until the last doctor standing, this is the insurance policy to outlast the opponent in a more evenly matched battle
Conclusion:
Solid win
MVP is Coeurl Lurker. It is overpowered in this battle, evading attacks and getting healed by the Djinn
Prismologist sped up the battle with Blast, taking out Divine Shields one after another. She did not get the chance to use the Forcefield against Sand Worm, it would have been epic! Coeurl Lurker took the glory as the defense champion.
