HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK #171/ SAY SOMETHING BY A GREAT BIG WORLD FT. CHRISTINA PERRI/ COVERED BY SLEEMFIT

Hello Hive Open mic community, it's week #171 of our weekly concert and as always I'm super excited to share my entry. This week's theme is so relatable as every one of us would have experienced the hurt that comes with love sometimes. In line with the theme, Divorce/Seperation as selected by recent spotlight artiste and my friend @merit.ahama I'd be performing a song by American pop duo "A Great Big World" ft Christina Aguilera" called " Say Something". Divorce isn't a good thing nor a good place to be as one or both parties are largely affected, what's even worse is if they have kids together. Kids deserve the love,support,and affection of both parents but however if the reason for divorce is irreconcilable differences, like being cheated on or being assaulted in a marriage....divorce may be justified. No one deserves to be treated harshly just because they are in a relationship. However if it's something that can be worked on, the bridges shouldn't be burnt as God frowns at divorce. Love is worth it, we gotta fight for our person, it's never a bed of roses but sadly most people tend to leave when the storms come 💔. The storm would always come, it's best to weather the storm together rather than divorce/seperate.

Say Something" is a slow-tempo piano ballad that talks about a breakup, where the lover is implored to say something because the singer is giving up on them, with the singers expressing humility, sadness, and regret.Being separated from a good friend, family member, or significant other whether it’s from death, a breakup, or a fall out is one of the most traumatizing experiences we go through in life.

Hola comunidad de micrófono abierto de Hive, es la semana n.º 171 de nuestro concierto semanal y, como siempre, estoy muy emocionada de compartir mi entrada. El tema de esta semana es tan identificable como cada uno de nosotros habría experimentado el dolor que viene con el amor a veces. En línea con el tema, Divorcio/Separación, según lo seleccionado por el artista destacado reciente y mi amigo @merit.ahama, estaría interpretando una canción del dúo de pop estadounidense "A Great Big World" con Christina Aguilera" llamada "Say Something". Divorcio no es algo bueno ni un buen lugar para estar ya que una o ambas partes se ven afectadas en gran medida, lo que es aún peor es si tienen hijos juntos. Los niños merecen el amor, el apoyo y el afecto de ambos padres, pero sin embargo, si la razón del divorcio son diferencias irreconciliables, como ser engañado o agredido en un matrimonio... el divorcio puede estar justificado. Nadie merece ser tratado con dureza solo porque está en una relación. Sin embargo, si es algo en lo que se puede trabajar, los puentes no debe ser quemado como Dios frunce el ceño ante el divorcio. El amor vale la pena, tenemos que luchar por nuestra persona, nunca es un lecho de rosas, pero lamentablemente la mayoría de la gente tiende a irse cuando llegan las tormentas 💔. La tormenta siempre llega, es lo mejor capear la tormenta juntos en lugar de divorciarse/separarse.

Say Something" es una balada de piano de tempo lento que habla sobre una ruptura, donde se implora al amante que diga algo porque el cantante se está rindiendo con ellos, y los cantantes expresan humildad, tristeza y arrepentimiento. Estar separados de un buen amigo , miembro de la familia u otra persona importante, ya sea por la muerte, una ruptura o una pelea, es una de las experiencias más traumáticas que atravesamos en la vida.
El amor es hermoso y el amor es el más grande. Espero que todos disfruten mi versión de este hermoso disco. 🤍&💡
