I have been stacking now for about seven to eight months. I have met many good friends within the precious metals community and have been accepted into the Metals Mafia family. During this time, a few family members have been following my videos on You Tube and watching my stack grow.

To my surprise, all of them think sacking is a good idea. They see the wisdom in collecting silver and gold as a way to save money, preserve wealth and collect pieces of art at the same time.

My brothers Cerberus and Bad Karma both have begun stacking, but only a few ounces a month, if that. However, Mother Tekkie took stacking seriously! She has started watching the videos from my community friends and found a whole new world of masterful art to collect that holds value.

Now, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but introduced her to stacking by giving her one of my logo bars and several other pieces for Christmas.

I gave her the Slacker Bar, but she purchased the buttons later, but is was a start.

The teddy bears were also a Christmas gift, but the other items she acquired later.

The Pistol and tiger head were Birthday gifts and the Sugar Skull was one she insisted on paying for.

Like I said, she had started to watch video after video and was impressed by Burnie who made the pistol. The Tomoko tiger was one of many from a trade and I just gave her one for her collection because she thought it was cute and wanted one. The Sugar Skull however was a must have she saw on Silver Back Stacker's videos, so I set up a trade. I do believe this is her favorite piece so far.

But, Mom did not stop with just poured silver. She discovered the many coins and rounds available in the precious metal realm and quickly found a series close to her heart.

Mother Tekkie has always collected Fairies. Her favorite brand was the Amy Brown Collection. Well, she found them in silver on JM Bullion's site. Now she is stacking full on!

The best advice I have ever heard from the community is "Stack what you like." So, I am glad Mom found something she loves and is spending money on silver rather than some ceramic figure that could in time become worthless. Silver will always be worth something.

But, Mom was not finished yet...

Mom is diversifying into a wide spectrum of stacking. Here you see excellent examples of the Canadian Maple, the Britannia, an Australian Kookaburra and Prospector Round! But, she has not forgotten good old US currency.

Mom has taken my videos so seriously that she now has gone to my LCS! And, Spencer has set her up in a good way! These two gilded 1964 Kennedy half dollars are beautiful coins. I love the look of gold. Yeah, I know the coin collectors say that gilded coins my lose value for not being original, but I don't care. They just look good and I think Mom did well!

The last two pieces of her stack are really cool!

Spencer set her up with a really nice Silver Eagle, I just need to find a capsule to put it in. Yeah, I know... A silver eagle is common, but it still a good piece to have in the collection.

But, check this out! The 1882 Morgan is in MINT condition! Spencer set Mom up right with that one. As Mikegpo would say, that's a CRACKER of a coin! Mom did really good with that one and I am so happy to see her so happy and having fun with a hobby that will only preserve her wealth unlike so many other hobbies that eat up hard earned money.

I will enjoy watching Mother Tekkie's stack grow with time and will be proud to help her in any way.
