Hello everyone!
My name is Slacker Stacker and I like to stack and collect precious metals, mainly silver of all forms. I am a member of the Metals Mafia, a group of like minded men and women who have the same love for shiny valuable metals as I. We are a group of people that not only stack and collect, but pour, carve molds and even metal detect for our treasures.
How did I get onto this you ask? Well, that is an interesting story.
I personally work in the technical field of electronics and I just LOVE gadgets! If it lit up, beeped, or required a battery or plug, I bought it. I would play with it for a time, learn how it worked and then it would end up either in a closet collecting dust, or in a landfill. I thought about all the money I wasted in buying stuff that really became outdated or useless.
Then I saw an add on TV for one of those "Buy Old Gold" guys and thought about why they did such a thing. There had to be money in it, or they wouldn't be begging for your scrap precious metals. So, I turned to social media and started watching videos and learning all I could about silver and gold.
That is when I realized that the metals may be volatile in on the market and prices go up and down, but your 401K does that anyway according to the stock market. However, they well never be worth nothing.
So, now I see a way to actually SAVE money, but in a fun way. Seeing those silver bars, rounds and coins accumulate is much more satisfying than a number on a page, or computer screen. You cant hold it, feel it weight in your hands and the stamps and artwork on them is beautiful.
There are so many unique pieces to be had from generic bars, to coins from all over the world, to hand poured art! All of them adding to a stunning collection that retains value.
I do not see it as an investment, but a fun way to convert regular or Fiat money into another form that has been used as money since biblical days. Precious metals have been a part of our history as currency as long as man first discovered them. So, I invite you to follow my page and see how my stack and collection grows.
