I have posted pics of some examples from my stash of figured walnut before, and some have asked what I plan to use it for, so here is a project for a christmas gift that is pretty quick and simple, but classy.
This can be used as a serving tray or cheese board.
I started with one long board, cut in half, flipped and jointed with biscuits.
Then glued and clamped.
And trimmed and planed.
The breadboard ends are curly maple,
Attached by tongue and groove.
Coated with tung oil.
