There has truly never been a time in my life that being a Christian and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ hasn't been worth it. However, just because it has always been worth it, doesn't mean it's always been easy. It has been difficult sometimes battling between what society says my life should be like and what God, the One who created my life, says my life should be like.
But, I truly believe that now, more than ever before, though it may sometimes be hard to be a Christian in today's society, it's also the most important thing you should be holding on to in this world.
God works best when we're in uncomfortable circumstances.
Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
God doesn't call us to be comfortable. He calls us to look for Him when we are put into uncomfortable circumstances and to believe Him to realize that He will pull us through. Society couldn't care less on the off chance that you turn out to be better or turn out to be "more" ... comfortable is alright for society. Be that as it may, comfortable isn't the place God works best. Give yourself a chance to get uncomfortable and watch what God does in your life.
Matthew 6:33-34 KJV
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
** God discloses to us that we simply need to look for Him and seek after a life with Him, step by step, minute to-minute, and all that we could require in this life will be accommodated us. I don't have to stress over a thing since what is implied for me, will be given to me. I need the life God has bound for me, isn't that right?**
Jesus died for our salvation and His affection will dependably be given openly.
John 8:36 KJV
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
God gave you life and His Child, Jesus Christ, spared you from your transgressions so that regardless of your issues and disappointments, you could be cherished and revered for all that you are, not all that you have to pay to be. His adoration is openly given and in that, you are liberated to be who He expected you to be.
Isaiah 54:10 KJV
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
God's love for you doesn't change no make a difference what you do well and unquestionably regardless of what you foul up. You didn't need to do anything for Jesus Christ to kick the bucket on a criminal's cross for your wrongdoings - truth be told, we gave him each reason not to bite the dust for a group of miscreants. Be that as it may, God adored us so much that he couldn't envision a life without us ... He couldn't envision heaven without us. He sent His Child to die for your life. Not only mine, or my loved ones, but rather yours. Consider that.
God says that He is love and that try not to offer yourself to any individual who doesn't plan on seeking after you the way God does each and every day.
Song of Solomon 8:6 KJV
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
Society has a method for influencing us to believe that sex rises to love and we for the most part come to find that sex outside of marriage is candidly unfulfilling. That is on account of God planned for sex to be in the sacredness of marriage, with somebody who seeks after God close by you. Place God as a seal upon your heart - enable Him to watch you from counterfeit portrayals of "love" and believe Him to satisfy your wants of needing to be loved and revered. You needn't bother with sex from somebody who doesnt seek after you the way God does and you needn't bother with somebody to satisfy you. Give God a chance to immerse your life and demonstrate to you what genuine romance resembles. HE IS Sufficient.
God says that there is no "right" approach to have an association with Him - His love for you isn't restrictively in view of you looking for him the "right" way.
Proverbs 8:17 KJV
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
You see, there's no "right path" for us to live as Christians. The mind boggling thing about having an association with Jesus Christ is that your association with him is particularly yours and unique to you two.
You should simply love God and look for Christ in all that you do - of all shapes and sizes - and you will discover Him in you and in all that you do. It' that basic. Try not to give society a chance to trick you into trusting that you're doing the "Christ walk" thing incorrectly on the grounds that what you do is not quite the same as another person. In the Lord's eyes, you're never being contrasted with any other person. We're not on a size of exemplary nature. God love all of us particularly and we as a whole seek after Him in our own particular individual way.
2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
When you believe in God, you don't have to see Him to know He exists and to know that He is with you wherever you go (Jeremiah 29:11 - shameless plug for to favorite verse, check it out!). Faith is stronger than sight when it comes to God - seeing Him would be indescribably beautiful but knowing that He sees us wholly may be even more beautiful.
1 John 4:4 ,6KJV
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
[6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Our society has been so plagued by the idea that we need to be like Beyonce and the Kardashians (don't get wrong though, I'm not talking down on these individuals whatsoever because who am I to judge?) that we fail to see how we could ever be changed by someone we can't see. Unfortunately, our society has fallen from being "one nation under God." We took God out of our schools. We've been told that the way we are supposed to live our lives as Christians is "outdated" or "hypocritical." Society says that if you can't see it and feel it, then it means nothing. We have people hating Christians so much that they murder them in their own churches because he or she believes himself to be more powerful than God. God isn't the "cool" thing to do, according to society, therefore, it isn't worth doing. God isn't "hip" and "with the times" (or so society thinks). But God says to all of that, "of course you can't "see" me or "feel" me, of course you think I'm "not cool" or "not with the times" because you don't know me - you've turned your away from Me and My will for your life." When we strive daily to align our lives with Christ we can see him as visibly and wholly as if He were standing right in front of us. To seek Him is to know Him and trust me, if you seek Him, you will feel His existence in every part of your life.
Being a Christian in today's society may be the hardest thing you'll battle with on a daily basis, but I also know from experience, that being a Christian in today's society is the most important thing you could ever be. You make a choice every day, to follow Jesus Christ or to follow who society deems is better. You make a choice every day to see yourself through perfect eyes or to see yourself through glasses that see only your scars and everything you've ever done wrong. You were given that choice (free will) by God ... wouldn't you like to know that His Son dying on that criminal's cross meant something for your life? I know for me, it means everything.
