Today was a cold, cold day. I stayed inside and painted nearly all day, hardly venturing out at all. We are still stuck here mostly, so towning is yet again postponed until tomorrow. Good time to just get creative, once we collected enough wood to start the hearth of warmth and inspiration!
We had an uneventful new years, since really I celebrate the new year on the winter solstice, when we welcome back the growing light. We all went to bed early, ahah.
Today is a full moon however, and it lights up the winter night like crazy! It is also a super moon, meaning that the moon is closer to the earth in its orbit, and therefore its effects can be felt more strongly. Physically, spiritually and mentally it has a stronger effect.
It is also beautifully bright! Here are some pics that Mel snapped this dusky night.
And, some misty dusky mountains! The super snow dog Drea really likes it. And I got to see the baby goat! SO CUTE! I would like to paint goats and bats for some reason.

Here is a pic of the cover of my sketchbook that I painted today, I attempted fireworks and some fancy letters. Also some dry-brush clouds. Practice, practice, practice!
Lastly, my kitchen-altar-gallery space. Here I am growing a collection of paintings to make things pretty. Im gunna have to find another space soon! I also have my incense holder and some crystals, some dried herbs and a bean too, for some reason. I wish I could find a peacock feather for it! Oh, and don't forget the counter squash :P
Thanks for tuning in! I hope you enjoyed the gorgeous winter moonscapes!
