If I were British though, I would weight the ability of UK to constantly negotiate its way within a rigid framework called the EU against the possibility of totally taking matters on own hands.
I am not #British, but I live in eurozone. So although I clearly see a point in rhetoric of "working together", I am not really convinced that a country which runs the 5th greatest economy on the planet, would have found itself "alone" in case of a Brexit or Brexodus as is a new term coined lately.
Furthermore, it is true that the real motives of any of the political leaders routing for either side of the argument, are somehow eroding the argument itself. So, I am not convinced that some of the "in" prominent political figures are not doing so just to keep their privileges.

Also, since there where some arguments of British products & companies being discriminated against in case of an exit, I challenge anyone to critically think about the next argument.
EU is supposed to be a union of equal Member - States, but its europarliament representation is decided upon population criteria violating that principle, embedding a bias against small population countries. Of course one may say that it is not a matter to consider since UK is not such a country, but the main point is that of inequality & discrimination in the first place, since the population criteria is clearly a nationalistic one. A EU that is built on such principles is doomed to become an oppressive one. It is just a matter of time even for the greater population countries to find themselves a few years or even decades later thinking that it might not have been such a bad idea to have had exited on that 2016 #referendum.
So another way to decide is not by just looking at where #EU is now, but given the trends where it will be. Where I stand and toward the direction it seems like going, I would rather be out.
