I am trying to follow the development of the events, "the Attacker" unleashed. More or less, he did prove that "theft" is not the word according to DAO's Terms of Service, so then the issue of validating the ETH transactions became even more intense. Now I read some miners declaring they have the "right" to selectively validate transactions.
The equivalent in fiat currency for those who are not into the details of crypto currencies is, someone denying to receive a $ bill, even if that is legit, because the rightfull holder cashed out from a casino, that is DAO...
The whole situation just verifies my initial assesment, that no matter how robust? in terms of programming the ETH & DAO team is, they have no idea about economics which seems to be an attribute of their mining community also. Else, noone would go ahead and suggest selective transaction validation, because the network automatically turns to untrustless.
Although I understand the anger of those who took losses, being a victim of indecency myself, although I do not suggest that this is the case now, I am trying not to laugh out loud with the complete nonprofessionalism taking grasp over the whole project called ETH & DAO...
If I were them, I would just suspend the DAO using whatever legit way the platform provides and move on. In my case though, I will use all assets to my disposal to retrieve the funds I am stollen.
