This is because one of the major lessons I’ve come to learn as an adult is that happiness is not so complex to find, it’s actually in the little things. But you see, just because it’s simple and easy, it doesn’t mean that we’d always have it. Because for you to be truly happy, you’d have to learn to be truly intentional about being happy. While happiness is something that many of us look forward to having, it’s not so easy to come by. Because the harder you work towards it, the more life seems to fight for your happiness. Some people believe that they can’t be happy if they don’t have lots of money, so they remain sad even though they’re healthy, have a roof over their head, and they eat regularly. The funny thing is, when they do get that money they’re after, they’ll postpone their happiness yet again. Then they’d want to get married and raise a family, which would make them happy. Soon after they get married and have kids, but when they pay all the subsequent bills, they’ll be happy. When that gets cleared, they postpone it yet again to when the kids are in the university, when they themselves retire, when they have grandkids… and so, it’s possible to go all through your lifetime without ever really tasting what true happiness really is. ![2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VBPtpaMrWi2FXVcxs51F4o8o3nEyXV24znPhXyByJZzc6ie8ygJr8hGwjfdQZdrCtotEg8kuDekVKkKZzRmBkDWpkT7RxRJyJe.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/bruno-kema/23wqiiDTu2j5KLGT7PiebGH4YLpNrfNDmYNyhgyTnh37zDwLjp6s8XhaxpZ3eszxzxDfV.jpg) So now, what’s currently making me happy? For me, happiness has never really been difficult to find. I see it in the tiniest and simplest things. It can be as simple as having a job that pays or being able to take time off to see a movie I’ve been looking forward to. Other times, it’s being able to go to the cinema to see a blockbuster, or go to a restaurant and buy food that’s most likely going to purge me. But I don’t care, because it makes me happy. Depending on the day and time, what makes me happy really varies. However, for today, the same thing has been giving me immense joy for the past few weeks, and that’s since the completion of my Data Analysis course. I’ve put so much into learning this skill, and I’m just so happy because it opened up my mind to something else that I didn’t even know. I now see numbers in a totally different light. I now know how to make numbers tell stories and how datasets can basically be used to read patterns and make predictions. It’s crazy, but it’s also one of the best things that happened to me this year, and for that, I’m really grateful for it. And then, the more I keep working on this skill, the better I’ll get at it. And at this point, the sky really is my limit. I’m really looking forward to all the things that I can do with this.
