That sux, I know what is to loose a pet, had to go through that in different ways, my first dog was stolen literally caught on camera, second got hit by a car, third my dad took it after the divorce and I never saw her again, my wife also want a dog but during covid I took the hobby of fish keeping and now have four tanks, the kids love them and not many fish interact with humans but I still love my fish and hurts whenever one dies, most pets not all by nature do have shorter life times than humans, hope things get better 💪👍
