I got most of these photos from local arboretums and botanic gardens in the Chicagoland area.
Here's a nice sunspot breaking through the thick trees.
Gotta love the red maples, they really brighten up the fall landscape the most. They also tend to turn the soonest.
Here you can see a red maple turning sooner than the trees in the background.
It's always nice when birds pose during fall. This is a hermit thrush, a close relative to the robin.
Spring is also a great time for birding and the leaves can almost be as colorful as fall. Here's an indigo bunting posing nicely.
The ground is also nice and colorful, the dark black soil helps push the leaf colors.
