It is #squirrelsunday again :-)
I took an early morning walk around Galena looking for birds but mostly found squirrels running around looking for walnuts and fighting over territory. This little scrapper managed to get his breakfast, who knows if it had to fight another squirrel for this walnut.
Nothing better than warming up in the early morning sun and snacking on a walnut.
Here is another bloat sitting right in the middle of someone's yard pigging out on a walnut. This strategy probably isn't the best as it would be a perfect target for a hawk to harvest his breakfast.
This little guy has a better strategy for eating. Hang out near a tree and a fence so a hawk can't easily fly by and snatch you up into the sky.
This one was using the steal strategy to get its food. Sneaking around looking for another squirrel with a walnut.
It managed to chase another squirrel off this log, what a tough guy.
Hey you get back here so I can steal your food!
That's it now I'm coming after you!
Oomph right after I finish scratching these fleas off me.
