It's #squirrelsunday again
When there aren't enough birds out I can always rely on these guys for photo poses.
They are always busy doing different things like climbing up the side of trees lol.
The live in various tree hollows and make little branch nests high up in the trees.
I often get blurry photos because they are always leaping around usually to chase each other and steal food.
Right now they are collecting as much food for winter as possible.
Someone brought some pecans for this guy, he better watch out the other squirrels don't see him with this treasured food.
This one also got into the pecan stash.
Because winter is here they have to stash their food to survive for the next few months.
They must have a good sense of smell to remember where they buried all their nuts. I would imagine other squirrels can smell out a stash and steal food. They are often seen running spirals around the tree after each other, probably disputing theft.
I'll keep an eye out for these guys after the first snow. Their fur coats get extra fluffy when its cold out, it should make for some cute photos.
