These dreaded white mushrooms are always a bit iffy for just a normal mushroom taste. I rarely ever forage them. Shaggy mane's are a bit rare around here I've only ever seen one in Arizona of all places near the San Pedro River. They are tricky to cook, another boiling soup mushroom otherwise they turn into ink slop if pan fried. Also no alcohol ingestion for a while after eating them
