Doodle time-lapse of a couple of bird doodles I did to kill time. They were done without references, I just improvised and saw where it lead me.
Process:
Quick sketch with a pencil, second pass with a fountain pen charged with washable ink, cleaned the outlines with a ballpoint pen/marker, used a water pen to smear the ink and create the shadows, & colored it with water colors, finally added some highlights with a white gel pen.
