Rio does not need to choose between football and skateboarding.
That is the whole spirit behind GNAR CONNECT RIO, happening on July 5 at Lado B, Rua Primeiro de Marco 14, Rio de Janeiro. Doors open at 16:20. At 17:00, Brazil hits the big screen. Then, after the match, the night shifts gears and the main session starts rolling from 19:00 with skate, music, art, premieres, launches and celebration.
This is not a split crowd event. It is one flow.
You pull up early, catch the game with the crew, feel the city buzzing, and then watch the spot transform into something bigger: the inauguration of the Lado B x SkateHive mini ramp, a new meeting point for Rio's skate scene. That matters because scenes grow around real places, not just feeds and flyers. A ramp creates reasons to return. A community creates reasons to stay.
The lineup carries that same energy. After 19:00, the mini ramp hosts a Best Trick, while the sound system keeps moving with DJ Cavalcanti, Bagunco, DJ Wilbor, Ghetto ZN and a surprise act. On top of that, the night also brings the GNARS x NOGENTA collab launch, the presentation of NOGENTA ZINE 01, and the premiere of NOGENTA x SkateHive in Rio.
So this is bigger than a party flyer. It is a collision of crews, formats and generations. SkateHive, GNARS, NOGENTA, Soma and the local scene all meeting in one place, with a new ramp at the center of it. The date also carries two personal milestones: Vlad's birthday and Marcelo Marbal's 50 years, which makes the whole thing feel even more rooted in friendship, respect and shared history.
The visual rollout for this campaign pulls from real SkateHive references like Brand Assets/Logos and archive pieces such as Copia de discord_banner.png, while these two event posters set the tone for the drop.
If you are in Rio, the invitation is simple: come early, watch Brazil with us, stay for the best trick, the shows and the launches, and bring your people.
