Even if that is the case humans can't create something that nature won't eventually evolve, I don't think is a coincidence either but more like an experiment that went wrong what it does not make sense is why the USA would fund the experiment for a biotech weapon at china? It is a very dangerous game to lose control over so it does not really calculate.
It is no secret that humans are engineering viruses and microbes since 2 years ago or so if my memory is not mistaken. Damn there is an entry in Wikipedia even. And I can for sure recall this one Orthopoxvirus and here is the link for you to dig into more. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthopoxvirus
Also CRISPR was greenlighted for experimental and laboratory tests since 2016. If they went so far for a global lock down, I am sure they know the fucked something up. But we all know this wont stop experiments from happening or being funded.
some sources since you like do dive in to that sort of staff.

Prior to CRISPR greenlight there was this meeting for discussion about the probability of an unknown known threat from a mutated or new strain of virus. They even have a placeholder name "Disease X" for it.

Make what you will from it. I am not into conspiracies and if it was a human mistake I understand why they are covering up, it was a huge fuck up. Probably that would excuse why Trump is retracting the funding of the WHO. But even that won't stop them for trying to get their hands into a super cure and since medicine is alway reverse engineering I understand why the want to develop the "disease X" in a control environment, probably so they can isolate it and get the treatment before we caught by a surprise.
To many possibilities and some probabilities we can't really be certain about either we can only guess.
Peace out.
I am including links and sources so you can just read for your own and make your own conclusions.
