There's a third option - Zagłębie Dąbrowskie Dąbrowa Basin https://pl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zag%C5%82%C4%99bie_D%C4%85browskie
Wiki says it's a part of Lesser Poland, but it's only a geographical relationship. In contemporary administrative division of Poland this region is placed in Silesian voivodeship, but before World War II these parts were a part of Lesser Poland, but due to being a part of Russian polish client state (while Lesser Poland was predominantly part of Austro-Hungarian Empire) it developed in different ways. That's why people from Zagłębie don't say they're from Małopolska.
