Hello dear Hivers,
This is our entry to the POBPhotocontest: Statues.
The photo of the smaller replica of the Statue of Liberty is atop the New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. We had a weekend getaway in Las Vegas on April 2021 when the hotels and casinos in the city were just beginning to open for business which were closed in 2020 due to the pandemic. We took advantage of the discounted prices of the hotels (almost 50% off).
We were amused that even the statue had a mask on as if enjoining us to be aware and do our share of containing the spread of the virus so we can all move forward and get back to normal.
