SteemFest² - Welcome Drinks & Conference Day 1

SteemFest² is happening right now in Lisbon!

Steemians from all over the world are gathering to connect and meet up in real life.
It’s exciting to finally put faces to the usernames and get to know The People you’ve been interacting with online!

Of course, Team APPICS is also present at SteemFest²!

We’re excited to be here in Lisbon, to meet as many steemians as possible, answer questions about APPICS, and represent SMTs.

A huge thank you again to @roelandp who organized everything so amazingly (for the 2nd time) and of course to the whole Steemit Team who made this possible.

SteemFest - Opening Drinks

SteemFest kicked off with the opening drinks on wednesday night.

When we arrived at the terrace of the HF Fenix Lisboa Hotel, the whole patio was already crowded with Steemians!
It's amazing to finally meet these Steemians in real life that I've been talking to online for months.
Everyone is so friendly, open-minded and excited about Steemit!
A lot of people also stopped us to talk about APPICS and ask questions about the project.
Thanks to everyone who approached us, it's nice to see how excited everyone is about APPICS!

SteemFest - Conference Day 1

On thursday, the first conference day of Steemit began.
The location was the beautiful Centro Cultural de Belém right at the water front.

The conference kicked off with an opening speech by @roelandp, followed by some welcoming words of Steemit CEO @ned .
Then, there were dozens of talks in the 2 different conference rooms. Many Steemians shared their thoughts, presented different projects, and interesting stories - and it was amazing to listen to it all!
@mrs.steemit also held a presentation about APPICS, introducing the concept, answering questions and more. The feedback was very positive and everyone was excited about APPICS.

After the talks, we went to the terrace to enjoy the sun and take some pictures.
Later on, we then had dinner together.

All in all, it was a very successful first day at Steemfest - so many interesting conversations, great people, and a good time!

Of course, I will continue to share my journey here in Lisbon so that Steemians from all over the world can get a glimpse of this experience, even if they can't physically attend.
I am grateful for these last few days, and meeting so many amazing people from all over the world through Steemit!
