I'm very sorry that your plants are dying. I had two papaya plants and one was dried by a baby iguana, which ate all its buds and flowers. The second, which has more fruits, goes the same way, the baby iguana is eating its shoots, my dogs have not been able to hunt it either, it is very elusive.
