Greetings beautiful Insects Of The World community, today I visit you again to bring you another inhabitant of my solar, which is very colorful and very restless. I will tell you. The year 2019 was very propitious for my crops: The rains were regular, they had the right frequency for my plants to grow, bear fruit, and I started growing other crops on my plot, such as corn and beans, which made me happy. gave much satisfaction. Already in the year 2020, along with the plague of COVID19, pests also reached my plants, and one of these harmful insects is this one that I bring you today, which if I'm not mistaken has the scientific name Evacanthus I don't know the common name.
The first time I saw it was on corn plants, which, although they gave ears, I think the yield would have been better without the presence of this insect. The first sign of its presence was seeing the leaves with small perforations, and a kind of "sawdust" or ground material around these holes. When I got closer to get a better look, I could see it. The truth is that it remained in the corn plants throughout that season, until I decided to remove a few remaining specimens, with the intention of making this bug disappear from my lot.
Once I eliminated the corn plants, for a few days I did not see these beings anymore, but after two or three weeks, I began to observe that the leaves of the musaceae or bananas emerged from the center of the plant, with the same perforations and when checking the center, I could notice their presence, they were there, installed. This distressed me a lot, and I tried to apply biocontrols but they were not effective. This pest also affected the yield of Musaceae, decreasing the quantity and quality of the fruits.
Currently the musáceas have not borne more fruit (it has been about a year without giving acorns), because in addition to these pests, ants and other insects have arrived that I will share later that I think are a species of mealybugs. However, what I have noticed is that the amount of Evacanthus is much lower, and they are no longer in the Musaceae, but have moved to the Lippia alba plants (colloquially known as lemon balm).
Su longitud máxima es de 0,8 centímetros aproximadamente.
Su color es amarillo, con finas líneas negras que hacen un bonito diseño.
Tiene áreas de color naranja claro.
Son insectos muy rápidos, es casi imposible atraparles.
He visto ejemplares con este mismo aspecto, lo cual me indica que hay poca diferenciación entre sexos cuando llegan a la adultez.
Son voraces y dañinos para muchos cultivos, y al parecer comen cualquier tipo de planta.

Its maximum length is approximately 0.8 centimeters.
Its color is yellow, with thin black lines that make a nice design.
Has light orange areas.
They are very fast insects, it is almost impossible to catch them.
I have seen specimens with this same appearance, which indicates to me that there is little differentiation between the sexes when they reach adulthood.
They are voracious and harmful to many crops, and apparently eat any type of plant.
