Ironically not only is that entirely accurate, but also, the "try such and such city in the jungle" is often the answer to modern day immigrant expat questions I find myself asking on a frequent basis now that I live in Costa Rica and only speak very rudimentary Spanish:

Where can I get my car front end aligned? Where is the best place to buy construction tools? Where is the cheapest place to find imported groceries? Etc Etc Etc

"Try such and such city in the jungle!" Is almost always the answer :)
