I've been starting to poke around on OpenSea.io by creating some silly pixel art GIFs and a Trading Card of a buddy of mine who is a Twitch Streamer. I have now started modifying some of the nude photography I've created (not me nude... my models) into pixel art masterpieces that have the slightest movements in a Vaporwave style. I haven't posted any as of yet on OpenSea.io as I need clearance from the model(s) before posting them in this medium, but they should arrive there soon.
However, with the HIVE NFTShowroom.com (referral link and non-referral link), I have already received clearance on two NFTs from the model that will be posted as soon as I'm whitelisted. I've been really enjoying the entire process of converting my photography into digital assets that will live forever on the blockchain as digital artwork!
I use several different items to create my digital NFT artwork. I'll start with the obvious and work my way down.
Camera: Canon T6 with 50mm Canon Lens
Proprietary Software: Aseprite (Humble Bundle Link)
Open Source Software: PixelIt (GitHub) for when the photos are too large to convert down to pixels first using Aseprite.
I start with the camera and model. We work on whatever type of shots were doing that day, the poses and artwork created is always tasteful. After we determine which photos make the cut, I select a few that I would like to attempt at animating and pixel-ifying. Once they've been selected, I move them either directly into Aseprite or run them through PixelIt then into Aseprite. Figure out the color pallets and find what to animate. Mostly legs, feet, hands, and eyes are the things to animate. However, sometimes in special NFTs, other items in the shot will be animated (think lighting, flowers, curtains, articles of clothing, etc.). After the animation and pixel art is completed, I export them as a single GIF file and safely store it until it is uploaded to the blockchain and minted. Once completed, the original GIF is zipped and stored to deliver to the owner of the token in a secure method (as an add-on to the Token NFT).
