I walked past an official Liverpool FC shop today, and they were doing some sort of promotion. Mighty Red, their official mascot was in the store.
I wouldn't say the store was jam packed with fans, but there was a reasonable turnout with a bunch of loyal fans. Some even bought their kids along dressed in the full kit. I don't know if the parents are more enthusiastic about all this or the kid, as she didn't exactly look very exciting.
At the time of writing this post, Reds are at the top of the league with 73 points, they're 22 points ahead of Man City. They've played 25 matches and won 24. As I write, they're playing their 26th match against Norwich who are at the bottom of the league. The chances of adding another 3 points today is pretty high.
Likewise, I'd say this year's champion is in the bag already. What are the chances of them drawing 1 and losing 7 matches, AND Man City winning all the rest of their matches? Don't need a statician to telk you the odds of that happening.
I'm a Gunners fan, but I have to take my hat off to Liveroool for a sterling season.
