Well, surely I don't have to be the one to tell you this season was crazy! Growth is through the roof! Sales are through the roof! Market prices... yep... so many holes to patch before the next rain... it's likely one of the most awesome problems I've ever had! I hope all of you are fairing as well!

Before going on, I have a special announcement. This was the first complete season since I quit my job to focus on putting more into, and getting more out of, Hive and my time here, and this was a hell of a season to mark that milestone.

With the servers down most of the season I really only had the last 5 days to play hard enough to really make headway in the rankings. I feel like I did very well to claw back into Champion league at all, so I'll forego my typical gripes and complaints about not getting back into the top tier. I just feel lucky to be alive, so to speak. :P

Quick point of note, rewards this season, in conjunction with other planned subsidies, were still enough to sustain me as anticipated, so working for myself on Hive, while off to a rocky start, is showing even more promise than I had dared to hope for. I think this next year is going to big for us all.

But enough of all that nonsense... you're here for the numbers, so lets's get to it!

As stated above I'm extremely impressed with my performance this season. With almost no time to really work with I still managed to scratch back up to Champion 3 and that's awesome! Yay, me!

It's also worth pointing out that I don't remember the last time I had a season with more wins than losses. Maybe there's something to playing less... quality vs. quantity and all that... but I have a dragon to chase so all that's out the window. Put it straight into my veins, please!!

Dragons Leading the Charge!!

Is anyone surprised after my last Report Card to see that Byzantine Kitty and Selenia are in the top two spots? Who among us didn't see this coming? WHO, I ASK?? They haven't been paying attention, whoever they are, because we all know a dragon will be on top in my report. Always.

Also no surprise to see Alric, Chanceus, and Mimosa finishing off the top five, so no need to linger here, although I do think it might be odd to see Tyrus Paladium ahead of Pyre. I don't feel like I play Life as much as Fire, but I guess there's exceptions to everything...

I don't know about you, but I'm seeing a lot of low mana cards in my top 10. I'm also noticing they're mostly water or cards that I usually add to a water lineup. Save the Furious Chicken, which is always top played card, likely for everyone one who owns one, the following top five are my basic water lineup. Kelp Initiate, Crustacean King, Pirate Archer, and Serpentine Mystic are all almost guaranteed to show up if I play water. I find they work well together.

Also no surprise to see the remainder of the top ten lean heavily into Death, but it's obvious Water carried this season.

WOW!! The numbers are all over the place this time, but a few points of note that stand out to me are I got my ass ravaged and handed back in pieces in Unprotected, kicked (just one kind of) serious ass in Standard and stayed relatively mediocre in just about everything else. No real highs or lows this time. Again, it was just a really weird season.

Nothing special to report regarding cards. I won four Epic cards this season, but I don't recall anything that stands out as a big deal, any only one gold Common card to note so I think we can just slip right past this...

LOOT CHESTS on the other hand bore a little better fruit. Still nothing special, but it's nice to see I'm over 40k DEC in earning for the season again. I don't think that's happened for the last few of these I put out.

I was VERY surprised to see I earned more DEC from rentals than I did loot chests! This is continuing to prove to be an amazing addition to the game!!

AIRDROP FEVER

I know we all have it but how can I not shout about it?!

This is the primary factor that allowed me to stop working and chase dreams here. I've been taking advantage of the x2 DEC multiplier by pairing it with Hive in the Tribaldex liquidity pool to get more of those sweet, sweet airdrop points and it seems to be working. I started the airdrop with around 1.8 million points and as of yesterday I was up to over 2.1 million. I think it's been a pretty big boost to my overall SPS earnings and I'm going to try to keep adding to the pool daily when I can, but at least once or twice a week.

While not pertinent to Splinterlands, or this season's Report Card I think it's noteworthy to point out that 3Spk will be dropping a mining token at a 1:1 ratio with Hive later this year (if my info is correct), so in addition to the DEC boost to SPS, I'm also filling a bag with Hive to take advantage of that when it launches. The whole point of that is to say I think that specific liquidity pool holds a lot of promise for those of us looking to maximize our holdings on this blockchain.

I usually don't post numbers related to money, but with everything that's happening in the space right now, and in my personal life that's directly impacted by it all I think it's appropriate to make an exception.

Total Earnings:
DEC (Gaming) $314.65 @ .00739
DEC (Rentals) $58.84
SPS (Airdrop and Staking) $2259.40
TOTAL: $2,632.89, This season.
That's more than double what I was making when working and this number only represents Splinterlands earnings, not all Hive earnings. This is why I think this is going to be a really great year!!

I hope you've all enjoyed this season's rants and ramblings! I know I have! See you next time!

If you found this entertaining, enlightening, or otherwise enjoyable, please consider upvoting and following. I need friends!
