I'm kind of a scattered mess but I'm here just about every day. I don't see any reason why I couldn't dedicate an hour or two a week to helping out somehow. I don't know how I could help, but I'm open to suggestions. It sounds like I do a lot of the stuff you mentioned that isn't rocket science. After work I check notifications/reply, play Splinterlands, catch up on taskmaster4450's posts. I suck at aligning time and motivation to post much of my own, but I comment quite a bit.

I play around with stuff on Hive Engine and Tribal Dex. I have premium access to Market Maker on DSwap, but I suck with it. I would LOVE to know how to use it better, but my attempts have been borderline futile, although it always seems like I'm learning nothing until one day I just know Kung Fu... so maybe we can do something with that? I only have enough staked for one trade pair right now but if I pull all my BEE back I think I have enough for three pairs... maybe four. I actually just moved most of it over to an alt (beastflick@beastflick) to start practicing again.

I've definitely been wanting to do something to contribute to Hive in general, but lack direction.

Would running a Splinterlands guild yield any returns? If so those could be re-invested somewhere. I don't have a guild, but I do have a tract of land. Maybe we can work out something there? Maybe you guys help me max productivity for some of them for a percentage of earnings? If you know a way I could put some in escrow for insurance I'd be down with that. I'm most likely going to end up renting most of them out anyway to upgrade the ones I like most. Dunno, just brainstorming... but I feel like Guilds are currently under valued. I think with the right group of players, the right marketing and management, and kick ass prizes, one could damn near charge "rape grade" guild fees and people would gladly pay it to be there.

I'm sure there's more but I'm sleepy. Good night.

EDIT to add: In not sure how this plays out because it’s still a thought experiment but what if...

We host a Splinterlands tournament to gauge interest in a for profit guild. If enough interest manifests we Open it to diamond league or higher and charge 10k DEC for an entry fee, which earns 1 guild coin. Each month when dues of 5k dec are paid, members earn a chance to win another. Contributions of 10k automatically earn another guild coin and one is earned for every 10k DEC donation.

DEC left over from upgrades goes into some kind of earning account or LP, which backs the value of guild coins. Periodically (probably weekly or bi monthly) a percentage of profits that period (season) are spent on prizes for guild mvps as well as a few smaller participation prizes. I don’t know what else to add at the moment.
