That's how I feel when I get in a mood to fool around with garage band. I hardly make anything that can be considered anything more than glorified ringtones, but now all my ringtones are uniquely mine, lol.

And there's a joy of making music, even if it's the finger painting version of it. Hell man, it's even better in some ways. It's a hell of a lot easier and quicker, to learn to fidget through the bare minimum on something like that than it is to even begin to learn an actual instrument.

For someone who doesn't have time to dedicate this kind of tech has value beyond just what it can be used to produce. It's a creative outlet that asks far less of you in return than most ways one can spend recreational time. then the therapeutic value you touched on above factors in... this kind of tech is a lot more than it appears, I think...
