I'm convinced we'll get there. I think it's fairly safe to say, off the top of my head, without putting any real thought into at all before just shitting something out of my face hole, that all the energy in the universe is apt to take the path of least resistance, and just because we're condensed into matter doesn't seem to really change that (law?).
Centralization certainly has it's strengths and it's easy to default to whatever is easiest but I don't think that means we're locked into anything. We already have DEXs and I would think in time they will handle far more of the work load than centralized entities, as I think really the only thing in the way is the fact that fiat is still a necessity for most people. Once we move to a token based economy we won't need to move fiat in/out and shouldn't that balance it all back out?
