To be honest, the Silvershield Archers have never been a popular card. Other than using them as a filler card when you had an extra slot in your Life Splinter lineup and little mana left over, they never got a lot of game play.

Oh, I disagree. I use Silvershield Archers with lone boatman and Silvershield Sheriff all the time. The 2 mana comes in super handy after dropping 14 mana, particularly since it gives 3 snipers 4 damage opportunities.

I admit I had the luxury of pairing it with Selenia, and that makes a serious difference.
