Do we have anything here that functions as a tax? I volunteer to contribute a percentage of the earnings from my posts to peakd because that's the front end I use and want to keep improving, but I don't have to (not that they're significant, anyway, but I digress). Having said that, however, if I'm leaving money in Hive isn't part of the interest generated diverted to the maintenances and upkeeps you're pointing out? Regarding the former, just code a small tax from post rewards for use of your specific front end?
Or is it that we collectively don't produce enough value to keep the lights on? What exactly is the issue we're trying to address? Are we trying to figure out how to fund a failing project or just juggle the bills to keep everything running through a rough spot?
Is our problem that everyone is adding an extra cow because they assume everyone else is, too (so to speak), or is it a matter of the Commons no longer being able to support everyone's fair share. Is it greed or blight?
Finally, what exactly are we offering here that people want? People want an easy sign up process and to be instantly entertained as soon as they get here. We make them go through a grueling sign up process that may take uninitiated newcomers to crypto days to complete. Then they get here and most of the content is shit at best, or shills for shit the public at large never had faith in or hope for to begin with.
Other than Splinterlands, arguably, as I hear a lot of people are trying to jump ship right now, and LeoFinance, maybe... I've been gone a long time, what are the success stories here? Why does this place always feel like I'm winding my way through a back alley to buy something illegal or do something immoral?
