I hardly knew anything about programming at the time

Sounds like me right now. I would like to know more. Reading through @pibara's posts and most of it just doesn't mean much, in one ear out the other as they say, but I persist. In time I'll learn. You're in a place now where you know a bit more about the subject? What did you do between now and then; any advice you could share?
