- With all the claim from government regarding curruption status in Country this is not something expected however India slipped by 2 level and now ranked at 81 compared to 79 in 2016 according to list released by Transparency International.
- 2/3 of 180 countries included in survey scored less than 50 with an total average of 43.
- Among south Asian countries Bhutan is ranked best at 26th place with 67 score.
- 0 is assigned for highly corrupted and 100 for corruption free.
- Among all 180 countries New Zealand and Denmark topped the list.
- Overall there is no sign of improvement in terms of corruption.
