- Some private sector companies were already planning to for electric cars production by the end of this year meanwhile ESSL also jumped in the field by launching National E-mobility Program.
- The objective of National e-mobility program is to provide boost to the entire e-mobility ecosystem including vehicle manufacturers, charging infrastructure company, fleet operators etc.
- The program will be implemented by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) which will work towards electric cars production.
- The electric cars production is aimed to replace existing diesel and petrol cars with electronic version.
- This move us likely to reduce the CO2 emission of country by 0.56 Million tons. It will not only reduce pollution but also economical as compared to petrol cars with low maintenance and fuel cost.
- ESSL is the same organization which helped government reaching the goal of replacing all streetlight with LEDs.
- India is effectively showing it's presence in the initiatives taken toward sustainable development. ESSL is an org that works under GOI and it is structured towards producing solution that are self sustainable, economical and ecofriendly.
