Have a nice day! Today, friends, I am drawing an ancient city and riders who are thinking about whether they should go there at all :-)
Of course, I'm drawing riders for the first time, so I wanted to test my capabilities.
BUT ni is still far away. First I need to prepare the background and background for my new painting. I draw it again with acrylic paints on cardboard.
The size is small, 65x45. That's how it all started. I started this time from the mountains,
I must say I managed to write beautifully the first time. Do you like it?
Then I moved on to the sky and clouds, I needed to make them more voluminous... I used shades of gray, blue and pale pink. I wanted the clouds to look very realistic.
Then she began to draw the landscape itself. I will leave the buildings, the fortress and the main gate itself for later. First I need to think through the plot of this picture... Where the distant mountains and low hills will be located, write a small lake, or the sea and the riders themselves at the crossroads.
At first I decided to make mountains that would separate the sea from the city visible in the background. Then I didn't really like the idea. Then I changed my drawing a little. And that's what came out of it.
I think it looks much better this way. What do you think?
Then I began to prescribe hills near the sea. I used not only ochre and cadmium, but also black soot, emerald green, cobalt and titanium whitewash.
Then I began to work on the buildings themselves, the fortress, the bridge and the main guard gate.
Here it was necessary to try so that the houses and towers did not seem the same in shape or color. This work is certainly not easy. That's what I began to draw. Yes, I also suffered with the road, At first it looked like in the picture above, but then I decided to redo it anyway.
And then I ran into another problem. I couldn't get the horse's beautiful legs out. Then I decided to hide them altogether behind tall thickets of grass :-)
However, it also turned out not quite as I would like. Then I decided to take silver paint and put a few accents on the tops of roofs and towers. And paint the helmet of one of the riders.
