En este tiempo de pandemia en el que se ha vuelto una regla inquebrantable el uso de mascarillas, nos hemos visto en la necesidad de tener varias de ellas, o en su defecto adquirir desechables, las cuales luego de usarlas un determinado número de veces (no muchos) : Qué hacemos con ellas? Simplemente las botamos.
Hoy, yo les voy a mostrar como darle un segundo uso a esa mascarilla desechable: vamos a convertirla en una hermosa flor!

Greetings Hivers!
In this time of pandemic in which the use of masks has become an unbreakable rule, we have found it necessary to have several of them, or otherwise acquire disposable ones, which after using them a certain number of times (not many): What do we do with them? We simply throw them away.
Today, I'm going to show you how to give a second use to that disposable mask: let's turn it into a beautiful flower!

Materiales a Utilizar:
Mascarilla desechable (previamente lavada)
Una tira de cualquier tela
Tijera
Aguja, Hilo y alfileres.
Silicone
Materials to be used:
Disposable mask (previously washed)
A strip of any fabric
Scissors
Needle, thread, and pins.
Silicone
Manos a la Obra!
1.- A la mascarilla le cortamos los laterales (donde van pegadas las elásticas) así como las tiras superior en inferior (las partes blancas). No botes la tira superior que trae el alambre o sujetador.
2.- La abrimos, desplegando los dobleces (la estiramos bien).
Let's get to work!
1.- Cut the sides of the mask (where the elastic bands are glued) as well as the upper and lower strips (the white parts). Do not throw away the upper strip that comes with the wire or fastener.
2.- We open it, unfolding the folds (we stretch it well).
3.- Cortamos tiras del grosor que queramos que tengan nuestros pétalos, puede ser de forma vertical u horizontal (no tiene gran importancia).
4.- Esas tiras las cortamos en tres partes iguales, las cuales serán los pétalos de nuestra hermosa flor.
3.- We cut strips of the thickness that we want our petals to have, it can be vertically or horizontally
(it does not matter).
4.- These strips are cut into three equal parts, which will be the petals of our beautiful flower.
5.- Con hilo y aguja vamos cosiendo una al lado de la otra, hasta utilizar todas las partes que nos hayan salido.
5.- With thread and needle, we sew one next to the other until we have used all the parts that have come out.
6.- La tira de tela la doblamos por la mitad horizontal y verticalmente y hacemos pequeños cortes del lado del doblez (te puedes ayudar con alfileres para sujetar y no se mueva la tira doblada).
6 . - Fold the fabric strip in half horizontally and vertically and make small cuts on the folded side.
( you can use pins to hold the folded strip in place).
7.- Una vez cortada, enrollamos la tira de tela sobre si misma, para formar el centro y la cosemos a la flor (también puedes pegarla con silicone).
7.- Once cut, we roll the strip of fabric on itself, to form the center and sew it to the flower
(you can also glue it with silicone).
8.- Abrimos la tira superior que le habíamos quitado a la mascarilla y sacamos el alambre, el cual pegaremos con silicone a la flor en la parte trasera para simular el tallo.
8.- We open the upper strip that we had removed from the mask and take out the wire, which we will glue with silicone to the flower at the back to simulate the stem.
Voila! Y así obtenemos esta hermosa flor...
