First of all i want to say that for me experience with this instrument began when i was a teeneger and mainly from my interests and passion to Rock music. I've never been talented like many others music geniuses and i made many mistakes, but when time was passing by and many thighs were changing in my life, this love to this instrument never faded.
I do not want to behave like a motivator in this post or maybe series of posts because it's a enormous topic , but i want to share some mistakes and feelings that helped me on my journey.
The main case that may influence you is your attitude. I remember when i first took guitar to my hands i always imagined me on the stage playing crazy solo of Dave Murray or Slash, because that what i was listening in this time. I though i would be great after just few seconds of training. Like all u know the begginings are hard when u start anything, in guitar and every other instrument you must start with regular finger exercises and some simple tracks. It seems boring, That's why you need that feeling of inflexibility. It can manifest by various factors like for example:
When you do your work at the day your thoughts are only about: What i'm going to play at the evening.
When you put on your headphones and listen to favourite music before sleep or other situation you imagine yourself playing this sounds.
When your free time is mainly filled with searching information about case which drives you, learn and discover new thing.
That will help you struggle with the hardest part of beggining, and satisfaction after playing first time Smoke on the water or Nothing else matters is unearthly. This feelings should drive you to reach your another goal and simple falling in love deeper and deeper. Of course i'm sayng this because it helped me in the time of many doubts and up and downs.
Everyone is different and has his own valuable factors that drive him up. Imagination is the greatest thing to fight boring exercises and painful defeats, but if you survive it the fruit of your work will be the best thing you have ever tasted.
What are your thoughts on this case ?
