This brings back memories! I went to bangkok in my 2nd year of medical school with some friends. I felt mostly at home, but the shock of the variety of street foods at display still haunts me sometimes lol! The alligator, the scorpions, and it seemed they have something against the most scary reptiles and just decided to take it out by eating them!

However, I particularly enjoyed a type of coconut icecream that was being made out of fresh coconut kernel!

Have you tried the floating market on the river? I don't remember the exact location but that was pretty interesting - something I had never seen anywhere else!
