Oh I'd definitely give up the smelling. Drinking coffee is not just about the taste to me, it is entwined with so many memories of sleepless nights before exams that I just can't give that up! Drinking coffee has resulted in so many lovely chats with friends at a cafe that smelling coffee alone would never be able to replace. I mean if you say to a friend "Let's go sniff some coffee at a cafe" they'd probably call 911!
