N-power Build is a pre-apprenticeship program or federal government initiative aimed at training its citizen to acquire skills in order to
- benefit themselves,
- be a better citizen,
- contribute to economic growth,
- to reduce unemployment,
- to meet the demands of skilled workman etc
It is a government initiative, which are being organized by COUNCIL OF REGISTERED BILDERS OF NIGERIA (CORBON) and CONSTRUCTION SKILLS TRAINING AND EMPOWERMENT PROJECT (C-STEMP) to achieve its purpose.
N-power build programme are classified or being divided into six departments namely;
- carpentry and joinery
- electrical installation
- plumbing and pipefitting
- masonry and tiling
- painting and decoration
- weldering and fabrication
I will be guilding and updating you guys on carpentry and joinery. These training manuals have been developed to serve as teaching tool to help artisans understand the basic priniciples and techniques in these trades. It is expected that this training manual will be applied and used ro train artisans to have the requisite underpinning knowledge required to carry out their jobs and uniformly across Nigeria.
We hope this would last unlike other goverment initiatives used to drive money out from the federal govt pocket.
This programme are being carried out in all the 36 states in Nigeria. I will be airing from Elim plaza in Enugu State South East of Nigeria.
